  • What is Time Chasers?
Time Chasers is an all new Internet quiz show. It is a race against the clock between our Challengers and our Zone Defenders where every second counts!
  • How do I get on Time Chasers?
To apply to be on Time Chasers, please visit http://www.timechasers.tv and click “Sign Up”. You’ll then be taken to a different section of the website where you’ll be asked some questions about yourself and some general knowledge questions! Depending on how well you do, you might be selected to be a Challenger or a Zone Defender.
  • What does it cost to be a Contestant on Time Chasers?
The only 'cost' is your connection to the Internet and access to a camera and microphone/headset.
  • What is this classed as? Is this a lottery? A “Game of Skill”? What jurisdiction are you running this under?
Time Chasers is classed as a “Game of Skill”. Games of Skill are where the winner is judged/voted and selected for their skill on set criteria. If you are playing as either a Challenger, a Zone Defender or an Audience Member, it is your responsibility to adhere to your local laws in relation to any taxes attributable to your winnings. Time Chasers will not be responsible for paying any tax on any prizes that you may win.
  • What requirements are there to be a Contestant on Time Chasers?
At the time of writing, you must be 18 years or older if the age of majority in your home country is not 18. You must also complete and submit a "Time Chasers Production Agreement" prior to filming beginning. Contestants must have a sufficiently strong and stable internet speed to avoid dropped connections. While it is not required, Time Chasers strongly recommends that all Contestants wear a headset/headphones/separate microphone if at all possible to reduce the level of background noise and feedback, but we'll do camera tests before any filming takes place to make sure you look and sound your best.
  • Can I be on Time Chasers more than once?
If a Challenger defeats a Zone Defender, the Challenger becomes the new Zone Defender and will serve as a Zone Defender until either they are defeated or they reach the top of the money tree in which case they will be known as a retired Zone Defender. In the future, there may be Special Events in which retired Zone Defenders compete against each other, but, for the time being, once a Challenger or Zone Defender is defeated, they cannot appear again as a Challenger or Zone Defender.
  • Do I have to sign or agree to something in order to be a Contestant?
As part of the registration process, you will need to read through the terms and conditions carefully and then click the “I agree” button at the bottom of the “Sign Up” page. You will also need to read and electronically accept the "Time Chasers Production Agreement" prior to being a Contestant.
  • How much can I win?
If you are selected to be a Challenger, you need to defeat the current Zone Defender to become the new Zone Defender. Challengers cannot ordinarily win any prizes - they need to defeat a Zone Defender at least once. If you are selected to be a Zone Defender - or if you defeat a Zone Defender and become a new Zone Defender - you can win anywhere between $20 and $1,000 (Australian Dollars). However, each time the Zone Defender plays, they have the choice of walking away with what they've banked so far - or risk it all and play again for a potentially higher amount.
  • How do I win $1,000 (Australian Dollars)?
All you need to do is win 10 Time Chases as the Zone Defender. Sounds easy, but the final Time Chase is often very close so it's quite a challenge!
  • What currency is the prize money provided in?
The prize money given is in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • If I win, how will my prize be given to me?
Any residents of Australia will have their prize money sent to them via EFT or PayPal. Any residents in any other country will be sent their prize money sent to them via PayPal and be subject to the currency exchange rate on the day of the transfer. Time Chasers will not take any responsibility for paying any fees or taxes.
  • Can you provide me with advice on the tax implications of such winnings?
Time Chasers and all of its directors, producers, employees and agents are unable to provide any financial or taxation advice in relation to any prize money. We would recommend you seek out your own taxation and/or legal advice.
  • What are the rules of each game?
Each game is explained just before it's played. Watch an episode to find out!
  • Is there a theme to the questions?
In the "Trivia Duel", "Shuttle" and "Time Chase" rounds, the questions are general knowledge. In the "Catapult" and "Tug of War" rounds, the questions will draw from specific - but randomly-drawn - categories. In "Race to the Top", the Challenger and the Zone Defender can answer questions from their preferred topic from a choice of five topics.
  • What if something goes wrong while I am playing the game?
The Hosts will do everything in their power to ensure that every episode runs smoothly. To that end, to ensure fairness, there will be a "MC" and a "Referee" role - where each Host will take one role each. The Referee's role is to ensure fairness between the Challenger and the Zone Defender. It is also the Referee's job to ensure that, should any technical difficulties arise, that neither the Challenger nor Zone Defender is worse off. The Referee has the option - at his sole discretion - to cease filming temporarily, replaying a game or altering the score the Challenger receives. If the Challenger or Zone Defender have any objections with a round, be it the conduct of another player, an issue with a question or anything of that nature, they must attempt to complete the current game as best as possible and then, from the completion of the game, they must raise their appeal with the Referee within 2 minutes of that game being completed or the result will stand. There are no limits to the number of appeals that can be brought.

  • What if can’t make it to the scheduled recording time?
Given that Time Chasers is a worldwide game show, within reason, we will endeavour to work with you to make sure that the times of the Hosts match up with your time. If you are unable to make a scheduled recording, to preserve your spot, you’ll need to give us at least one week’s notice. We will then do our best to reschedule. Failure to provide a week’s notice will result in forfeiture of your spot unfortunately.
  • Can I be on Time Chasers in person or is it all online?
It's all online, recorded via webcams. We may do some in-person events in the future if there is demand for it, but seeing as one Host is in the UK and one in Australia... it's a little tricky!
